Privacy Policy

ValKD (valkd.com, the "Site") is a free VALORANT stats and game info site. We collect only what the member features need, and handle it as described below.

1. Information we process

Email sign-up: email, password (stored as a one-way hash), display name
Google or Kakao sign-up: your account ID at that service, email (if you choose to share it), display name. The name from the social service is only used as a default on the sign-up form.
Things you save: linked Riot account (platform, Riot ID, PUUID), favorites, recent searches, watchlist, stream overlay presets, notification settings
If you link Discord alerts: your Discord user ID and when you linked it
If you register a streaming channel: the channel (platform, channel ID and URL, the channel name the platform reports), your intro, whether you're listed on the streamer list, and the live status we check (live or not, stream title, viewer count, start time)
Notifications: the content of watchlist and support reply notifications, and whether you read them
What you write when contacting us: request type, subject, conversation, the page you started from, site language
Consent records: terms version, time of consent, confirmation that you are 14 or older
Generated automatically: login sessions (IP address, browser info, time), security logs (login success and failure, sign-up, password change, deletion, with time and IP)
Visit statistics (members and visitors alike): only totals that can't identify anyone. We add up the date and hour (KST), the kind of page viewed (stats pages only down to PC or console, no Riot IDs), site language, mobile or desktop, whether it was a bot, the referring site's host name (e.g. google.com), and whether this browser is visiting for the first time today. No IP address, cookie value, or browser identifier is stored. Stream overlays are only counted as times opened.

2. Why we use it

To identify you and keep you logged in
To provide the features you save (favorites, recent searches, watchlist, overlay presets)
To track RR automatically for your linked Riot account and accounts you choose (rank recorded about every 3 hours)
To alert you on the site and by Discord DM about big RR changes and rank ups or downs for players you watch
To show members who register and list their channels on the streamer list, and to check their live status
To answer support requests and tell you about replies by notification and email
To keep accounts secure and prevent abuse
To understand and improve how the site is used (visit statistics, the stats search log)

3. Retention and deletion

Account and saved data (including support conversations and the Discord link): until you delete your account, then removed from the database right away.
Notifications: kept for 60 days, or removed right away when you delete your account.
Streaming channels, intro, and live status: deleted right away when you remove the channel or delete your account. If you turn listing off, you disappear from the list and we stop checking your live status.
Login sessions: expire and are removed 30 days after last use.
Security logs: kept for 90 days. When you delete your account, logs linked to you are removed immediately; only a single deletion record (time and IP, no account data) remains for 90 days.
Visit statistics: totals only, deleted after 90 days. The stats search log (platform, the Riot ID searched, result, time; who searched is not stored) is deleted after 7 days.
VALORANT stat history (such as RR charts) is public game data keyed by Riot ID and PUUID, not member data, and follows the Site's own retention (up to 180 days) regardless of account deletion. RR auto tracking turns itself off when nobody opens that player for 30 days.

4. Sharing

We don't sell or share personal information. Data is stored and processed on the Site's own server.

Processor: verification codes and support reply emails are sent through the mail server of Cafe24 Corp., which receives the recipient address and the email content.

If you link Discord alerts, notifications are delivered through Discord Inc., which receives your Discord user ID and the notification content.

If you choose Google or Kakao login, only the information needed to sign you in is exchanged with that service, and its own privacy policy also applies.

To look up stats and track RR, Riot IDs (name#tag) and PUUIDs are sent to the HenrikDev API (an unofficial VALORANT API). Member data such as your email is never sent.

Game content (valorant-api.com) and server status (Riot Games' public status data) are fetched without sending any member data.

To check the live status of a registered channel, its channel ID is sent to that platform's public API (CHZZK, SOOP, YouTube, Twitch). No other member data is sent. When a listed member goes live, we may post it (display name, channel, stream title, rank) to the alerts channel of the Site's Discord server.

5. Your rights

View your data, change your display name and password, and disconnect social logins on the My account page.
Delete your account at any time on the My account page; this also withdraws your consent.
For anything else, use the contact below.

6. Cookies and browser storage

Login cookie (valkd_sid): a random value to keep you logged in. The server stores only its hash.
Language cookie (valkd_lang): remembers the language you picked.
localStorage: favorites, recent searches, and overlay settings in this browser. Favorites and recent searches are cleared when you log out.
Visit statistics storage (valkd.seen): stores only the last date this browser was counted. The browser itself decides whether this is its first visit today and sends just 0 or 1; no identifier is created.
Browsers with Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control turned on store nothing and are only added to the page view total.
No advertising cookies or cross-site tracking, and no third-party analytics services.

7. Security

Passwords are hashed with PBKDF2-SHA256 and a per-user salt.
Session tokens are stored only as hashes.
All traffic uses HTTPS, and login attempts are rate limited.
The database is not reachable directly from the internet.

8. Children

You must be 14 or older to create an account. Lookup features without an account are open to everyone.

10. Changes

We'll post changes on the Site 7 days before they take effect, or 30 days before for changes that are less favorable to members.
